WTF!?!
We don't get to put our garbage out on Monday because George W. Bush is paying a visit to our capital! Anyone have a good idea for a sign I can put on my garbage can that will be on the curb?

I have always gently loathed Ticketmaster, but now I am coming to believe that they are evil incarnate. Richella and I are going to see Ani Difranco on Saturday. The venue is near where I live so I stopped by to get tickets. Nope. Gotta buy them through Ticketmaster, and despite having a giant sign at the front of the complex, there is no outlet here. OK, so I buy the tickets online. This costs roughly $14 for all the work they're doing for me (oh wait.) Then I have to choose a delivery method- pick up. For only $3 extra, I get to walk over to Ticketmaster HQ and pick up my own tickets. They are kind enough to let me know that there is no 'additional delivery charge'. Then, I get an email telling me that since I have 'chosen' to use Ticketmaster, I have now consented to them releasing my email to any of their (unnamed) 'supporters'. Oh, and please give them two days to print out the tickets, these things aren't easy you know.
I like the places with those little scrappy rolls of tickets that say 'admit one' and you pay and walk in. But maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Mean Girls
So I just watched the movie 'Mean Girls' and it was like a horrible, horrible flashback to high school. Only I remember it being meaner, with no cheesy happy ending. I think I need to read something really intellectual about feminism now.

Hmmmm
Well, the 'I hate November' project seems to be getting off to a slow start thanks to an increase in the 'work' area of my life and also the 'nap' area. There is little exciting news from here. I bought a nice down North Face coat so now I am poor. Also, UW seems to have noticed that I've been hosting all of my pictures on my webspace there and they are gone, so I may need to do something about an exciting new blog template! (also find somewhere else to host, the free-er the bett-er!)
